Central Bank to Donate 23 Crore to Flood-Affected and Protest Victims
The central bank will donate 23 crore taka to the main executive committee fund of those affected by the floods and victims of the quota reform and government overthrow protests. This includes 1 crore taka from the salaries of bank officials and employees for one day. The regulatory authority of the financial sector has also decided to donate another five crore taka to the foundation formed to help the families of those injured and killed in the ‘July Revolution’.

Health Advisor Nurjahan Begum reports that thousands of people have died and nearly four hundred people have lost their sight in the quota reform and government overthrow protests. She stated that the government will take responsibility for the families of those who died and those who were injured, and that injured individuals will receive completely free medical treatment.
