Trishankoil Farmer Dies After Taking Poisonous Tablets

Thakurgaon’s Trishankoil, a farmer named Munjur Ali (40) has died after consuming poisonous tablets.

The incident occurred yesterday, Monday (19 May), in the afternoon at his home in Baronia Mondolpara village, Trishankoil.

A UD (unofficial detention) case has been filed with Ranisankoil Police Station against the deceased. Munjur Ali was the son of the late Ramzan Ali, residing in Baronia Mondolpara village.

Local sources indicate that Munjur Ali became ill after consuming poisonous tablets in the presence of his family members on Monday afternoon. His family members, upon discovering his condition, transported him to Ranisankoil Upazila Hospital, where doctors provided initial treatment and referred him to দিনাজপুর Medical College Hospital for further treatment. Sadly, he died en route to the hospital.

Munjur Ali’s brother, Fordoli Mohammad, stated that his brother was suffering from mental stress and anxiety. **He believed he was depressed and consumed the poisonous tablets.**

Ranisankoil Police Station Officer in Charge (OC) Arshedul Haq stated that police responded to the scene and examined the area. The body was sent to Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital for autopsy.

An UD case has been filed with Ranisankoil Police Station in connection with the incident.
