Maulana Ahmad Hasan Chowdhury’s Speech at Student Recognition Event
Bangladesh Anjumane al-Islah’s যুগ্ম Secretary General and Dhaka University’s Associate Professor Maulana Ahmad Hasan Chowdhury stated that knowledge has two aspects, one religious, which is obligatory for us to attain, and another worldly, which is necessary. The purpose of gaining knowledge should be good, and through both types of knowledge, people can gain respect and reward. If the purpose is successful, a businessman can earn profit with humanitarian service and gain reward. Those who achieve distinction through good results have earned honor for themselves and for their families. We need to avoid being absorbed in paper success and consciously hold onto ideal values. We will use our knowledge and conscience to nurture genuine ideals. Fear of Allah, Taqwa is for all Muslims, not just special individuals. If we follow the guidance Allah has given us, we will be able to avoid many bad deeds.
Importance of Studying and Connection to Rasul (SA)
He further said that in the current age, some of our students are wasting time playing games and other frivolous activities; we are calling upon them to read books. To be successful in life, one must read a lot of books. Hazrat Bahaa’ sahib Kiblaah still reads a lot of books at this age. We are introducing our children to everything in society and establishing connections, but we are not connecting them to Rasul (SA). Talimijye Islamia is creating that connection. It teaches students to be ideal and good people at all levels of life. In this difficult time, Talimijye is working to guide a person on the right path through social media platforms like Facebook and YouTube.
